Danny Crenshaw here. I’m a 25-year-old student from Seattle. I am attending the University of Washington School of Law. Since I was little, I’ve always wanted to become a lawyer. On top of my schooling, I am also a barista in a coffee shop in my city. Seattle has recently been voted as the Best Coffee City in America and I can’t disagree with that. Working and being a full-time student is sometimes exhausting, but my goals push me to keep going.
Studying for most of my life has enabled me to become better at it. However, studying for a law degree isn’t the same as studying for an undergraduate degree. It’s a miracle that I get to survive the terrors of being in law school. Sometimes I read cases during breaks in the coffee shop, but I would usually stay up late reading all of them so I can be perfectly ready for classes the next day. Reading cases for myself is a way to know how the court works.
I was taught how to make latte foam art in the coffee shop where I work. It has now become my way of relaxing. It makes me feel good knowing I can do such, and seeing the customers smile as they look at the foam art just makes me happy. Latte foam art and the 90’s classic movies bring balance to my life. I still believe the 90’s classic movies are the best and everyone should watch every single one of them.
